    Bargain Network Acquired For $27M


    Santa Barbara-based Bargain Network has been acquired by Vertrue incorporated. Bargain Network provides a online comparison shopping service via the web and through telephone, and which the companies said reported $48M in revenues last year. Vertrue provides marketing services in the form of membership and loyalty programs, and said that it would integrate Bargain's inbound marketing operations and subscription-based services into its marketing programs. The companies stated that the acquisition was expected to complete before the end of the year.
