Santa Monica-based BeachMint, the celebrity and social e-commerce company run by Josh Berman and Diego Berdakin, said last night that it has launched the next in its line of celebrity-focused businesses, BeautyMint. BeautyMint is focused on personalized skincare, and is being run in conjunction with Jessica Simpson and Beverly Hills skincare expert Nerida Joy. BeachMint said that it will launch BeautyMint in October. The company said BeautyMint will provide a personalized, monthly skincare system with products developed by Nerida, using "anti-aging technology" and natural ingredients. BeautyMint is the third in a series of celebrity e-commerce sites launched by BeachMint; the company's other two brands are StyleMint (with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen) and JewelMint (with Kate Bosworth and Cher Coulter). All of those sites feature monthly, personalized shopping and product subscriptions. BeachMint is venture backed by Scale Venture Partners and Lightbank. Berman is an ex-MySpace executive.
