San Diego-based BenSoft Incorporated, a developer of web-based software for healthcare benefits management, has been acquired by Metavante. Metavante announced the deal Tuesday, but did not disclose financial terms. BenSoft develops a web-based software tool, RepayMe, used for requesting reimbursement from FSA and HSA healthcare plans. Metavante said the transaction is not expected to have a significant impact on its revenue or profitability in 2008. Metavante is based in Milwaukee.
