Los Angeles-based Big Stage Entertainment is announcing this morning that it has raised an additional $2.7M in a Series B funding for the firm. According to the company, the funding came from Mission Ventures, Selby Ventures, and the Tech Coast Angels. The company said the new funding will go to accelerate research and development, along with sales and marketing. Big Stage Entertainment develops technology which takes user photos and creates 3-D, facial avatars. Big Stage said its Series B funding round remains open for an additional $3.3M, until June 8th.
