    Blackball Integrates With NAS


    San Diego-based BlackBall, a provider of unstructured data management software, said today that Newisys, a provider of network attached storage, will integrate its software with a NAS appliance. BlackBall and Newisys said that BlackBall's SearchIn desktop search application will be integrated with the Newisys NA-1400 Network Attached Storage (NAS) Appliance. BlackBall's software provides desktop search for Windows, Linux, Solaris, Mac, and other operating systems. The firm is backed by Al Shugart, the founder of Seagate.
