Blizzard Entertainment Takes World of Warcraft To Latin America
Irvine-based Blizzard Entertainment said Wednesday that it has taken its popular massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG), World of Warcraft, to Latin America. The firm said it would localize the game based on its existing, European Spanish version, with entirely re-recorded in-game speech. The new version of the MMORPG is slated for release in the first half ot the year. As part of the effort to launch into Latin America, Blizzard said it is hiring a dedicated, Spanish-speaking team in its Irvine and Austin, Texas offices to handle customer service, quality assurance, community releations, and web teams. The firm has not yet released pricing details or country specific availability of the games.
