Pasadena-based Bluebeam Software, a developer of software for creating PDF files from architectural and engineering designs, disclosed Thursday that the firm has rolled out its own free, secure PDF viewer. Bluebeam said its new PDF viewer -- Bluebeam PDF Revu Standard Edition -- was a response to recent security attacks and issues with Adobe's popular Adobe Reader PDF viewer. The firm also said that its own software will offer a 30 day trial period where the software will also support creating of PDF files.
