Los Angeles-based Wi-Fi network operator Boingo is having a big week for airport expansion, saying Thursday that it has also added three airports in Germany. Boingo said it has signed agreements to manage and operate Wi-Fi services in Berlin-Tegel (TXL), Nuremberg (NUE), and Stuttgart (STR). Financial details of the agreements were not announced by the company. Boingo had also announced a deal for a number of Japanese airports earlier in the day. Boingo said the three airports serve more than 30 million passengers annually. Boingo operates a network of Wi-Fi hotspots around the world, which users can get to through a single unified billing plan; Boingo also makes its Wi-Fi network available to a large network of partners, branded for those partners.
