Boingo Expands In Japan

Los Angeles-based Boingo Wireless announced today that it has added more than 1,600 hotspots in Japan, as part of a deal with NTT Communications. Details on the deal with NTT were not announced, however, Boingo said the addition of NTT's network brings its total to over 6,500 hotspots in Japan. Boingo operates a global network of wireless access points, all accessible via the firm's single sign in and common login software. The new Japanese WiFi locations include hotels, coffee shops, retailers, business facilities, libraries, airports, and train stations. The deal also allows NTT's own Wi-Fi customers to access Boingo's network of airport locations.
