Boingo Expands Wi-Fi Network In China

Los Angeles-based Wi-Fi provider Boingo Wireless has expanded its coverage in China, saying Wednesday that it has added Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN), Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA) to its network. Boingo said the addition of the airports means it offers its Wi-Fi serviecs at four of the top five most highly trafficked airports in the country, serving more than 195 million travelers annually. Boingo operates an extensive network of Wi-Fi hotspots globally, which allow subscribers access to wireless service through a single, unified billing and subscription plan. Boingo's Wi-Fi network is also used by its partners, such as Orange France, NTT DOCOMO, Skype, TeliaSonera, LGU+, Korea Telecom, Telefonica, and Verizon.
