Boingo Partners With JiWire On Ad Deal
Los Angeles-based Boingo Wireless said Tuesday that it is in a deal with JiWire to sell and serve Wi-Fi advertising at airports. Boingo said that JiWire will serve up advertising on its 28 Wi-Fi networks at airports in the U.S. and UK. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. JiWire is a provider of an advertising network based on location-aware advertising. Boingo Wireless is an operater of a network of Wi-Fi hot spots in airports, hotels, and other public areas; the firm's airport reach comes from the firm's ownership of Concourse Communications Group, LLC, which Boingo bought in 2006.
