    Boingo Takes Flight

Santa Monica-based Boingo Wireless has inked a deal with Connexion by Boeing to offer in-flight Wi-Fi roaming. Boingo said that all Connexion by Boeing flights equipped with high speed Internet and data services will now be part of the Boingo roaming wireless service. The in-flight wireless roaming is priced per connection based on flight length. Connexion's services are currently available on a number of international flights, and are in the process of being rolled out to U.S. domestic flights. The service is currently offered on flights from Lufthansa, Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS), Japan Airlines, ANA and Singapore Airlines, and Connexion is working with a number of other airlines to offer the same service. Boingo offers a WiFi network with consolidated billing and access, utilizing a large network of WiFi service providers. It also has deals inked with Earthlink, Fiberlink, BT Infonet Services Corp., MCI, and Telecom Italia to provide a complete billing and subscriber management platform.
