    Boingo Wireless Teams With MLB On Playoff Games


    Los Angeles-based Wi-Fi hotspot operator Boingo Wireless has inked a deal with MLB Advanced Media, the interactive media arm of Major League Baseball, to stream playoff games at its airport locations, the firm said late last night. Boingo Wireless said it will allow its customers to purchase special, four-hour passes to MLB.TV to allow those customers to watch every Divison Series and American League Championship Series games being broadcast by TBS. Boingo said the special four-hour passes will cost $4.00, and are available only to Boingo customers at airport locations, and will not be subject to blackout restrictions. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Boingo Wireless operates a network of Wi-Fi access points, and owns Councourse Communications Group, which operates both wireless and wired Internet access points at airports worldwide.
