Boost Ties Into Instant Messaging

Irvine-based Boost Mobile has tied into AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, and MSN Messenger on its mobile phones. Boost phones will be able to support an application which communicates directly with the popular instant messaging services. The provider of wireless service, owned by Sprint Nextel, said that the new mobile IM service will provide similar look and feel on its IM services to the desktop services. The new services will cost $.99 per day to subscribers for use of the instant messaging service.
