Breach Adds SSL Enhancements for Intrusion Detection

Carlsbad-based Breach Security announced a new product, BreachView SSL, an add-on SSL decryption enhancement for intrusion detection systems. The new software makes it possible for intrusion detection systems to monitor SSL traffic on the fly, which has been an area where the systems have been unable to monitor network traffic. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is used in Internet and other systems to provide encrypted communications. Intrusion detection systems monitor Internet traffic to determine if hackers are trying to break into computer systems and to alert administrators accordingly.
