    Breach Buys Open Source Security Firm


    Carlsbad-based Breach Security announced today that it has acquired Thinking Stone Ltd., a provider of the open souirce ModSecurity web application firewall. Breach said that it has added founder Ivan Ristic as Chief Evangelist for the firm. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. ModSecurity's web application firewall is used by companies to manage web security and traffic. Breach said that it will continue to contribute to the open source community with new releases of the ModSecurity software. Breach will also incorporate the software into its web application security solutions.
