BridgeCo Supports New Internet Radio Standards
Los Angeles-based BridgeCo, a company developing silicon for the home entertainment networking market, has upgraded its processors to support the new Windows Media Streaming (WMS) and Real-time Streaming Protocol (RTSP). The firm said that the support will allow it to support web-based radio stations, which offer streaming audio services with advanced quality of service performance guarantees. BridgeCo is designing DSP-based processors, firmware, and application software focused on the digital home networking market. The firm is backed by Advent, Benchmark, Cipio Partners, Earlybird, Fidelity Ventures, Intel Capital, and Wellington Partners.
