Broadcom, Motive Partner on Remote Management

Irvine-based Broadcom and Austin-based Motive announced this morning that the two companies have partnered to add remote manageability into Broadcom residential gateway products. The two companies said that they will built solutions based on the DSL Forum TR-069 management protocol to allow management of Broadcom DSL gateways. The management promises to allow broadband providers to remotely activate and management voice, data, and video services from service provider locations. The two companies are targeting broadband service providers with a complete silicon and software solution.
