Irvine-based Broadcom (www.broadcom.com) said yesterday that it has settled all of the company's outstanding litigation with Agere Systems. The two companies had been locked in a patent lawsuit battle, where each claimed patent infringement relating to high speed communications, wireless, disk drive technology, and other technologies. Broadcom said that the two companies have agreed to settle all outstanding claims, and will cross license patents with Agere. The company also said that it would claim $27.5M in settlement costs related to the patent fight.
