Broadcom Expands In Taipei
Irvine-based semiconductor firm Broadcom is expanding its design center in Taipei, Taiwan, the firm disclosed Thursday, in what it calls a "significant expansion" of a cellular design center. The center, which helps customers develop Microsoft Windows Mobile-based smart phones based on Broadcom chipsets, is located in the Xin-Yi district of Taipei City. Details of the expansion were not disclosed, however the company said that it employs a sizeable team of software development engineers focused on smart phone software and integration.
