    Buy.com Buys Social Networking Site
    Aliso Viejo-based Buy.com announced this morning that it has acquired social networking site Metails.com, a web site focused on young, tech savvy individuals. The Metails site provides a way for people to publish information about themselves and their favorite products and interests. The site partners with ecommerce providers to allow users to receive referral fees for recommending products. Buy.com said that all employees of Boston-based Metails.com have relocated to Aliso Viejo and have become employees of the company. Terms were not disclosed for the cash and stock deal.
