| La Jolla Research & Innovation Summit . CONNECT is hosting the La Jolla Research & Innovation Summit - a closed meeting for an exclusive group of 50 out of town and 50 local venture capitalists to view presentations by leading scientists in San Diego. With over 40 research institutes in San Diego, the pace of discovery continues to accelerate, creating new business opportunities. Scientists from the region’s elite research institutions will share their vision on where the research is heading in the areas San Diego excels. There will be 22 presentations in four panels, including clean tech, IT/ wireless, life science and convergence innovation. Developed in partnership with leading organizations in San Diego including BIOCOM, AeA, CleanTECH San Diego, CommNexus, San Diego Venture Group and the San Diego Software Industry Council.
