| Young Professionals in Energy ("YPE") is holding its first Los Angeles meeting. The organization is the first and only inter-disciplinary networking and volunteer organization for young people in the global energy industry – a place where bankers can connect with engineers, accountants with geologists and so on. Our mission is to provide a forum for knowledge sharing and camaraderie among future leaders of the energy industry. The growth of YPE from 2 to over 8,000 members since the launch of the initial chapters underlines the need that was already present in energy cities across the globe. The LA meet-up will feature no-host bar and hors d'oeuvres. Los Angeles Environmental Commissioner Maria Armoudian will give a short presentation on California's mandate for 30% renewable energy by 2020. See http://www.ypenergy.org |
