| Healthcare & Medical Records: Software Opportunities. SDSIC. Electronic Medical Records is making the headlines these days. In the Obama administration’s stimulus plan (The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) there is a provision of $19 billion to accelerate the use of computerized medical records in doctors’ offices. Given that currently only about 17 percent of the nation’s physicians are using computerized patient records, increased use of electronic medical records can help providers provide improved care and get paid in a timely manner while simultaneously driving efficiency and reducing cost.
