| CommNexus Presents:Smart Wireless Emergence of Smart Grids and the Role of Wireless Technology. As various utilities have successfully deployed large-scale Smart Grid solutions reaching millions of homes throughout the country, this technology has recently generated significant interest. Locally, SDG&E has installed over 1 million wireless smart electricity and gas meter devices to date, and is on track to complete its full Smart Meter deployment of 2.3 million devices by the end of 2011. In addition, the company is also deploying a new multi-service wireless network across its entire San Diego County and south Orange County territory (over 4,000 square miles).
