"Two Views of Technology Entrepreneurship: Do Investors Think the Same as Entrepreneurs?" Caltech/MIT Enterprise Forum. William H. Davidow may have seen it all, at least when it comes to the business of doing technology. William Davidow is Founder and General Partner in Mohr-Davidow Ventures, an early stage venture firm with a twenty year record of success. With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, management positions at General Electric, Hewlett-Packard, and Intel, this veteran marketeer has achieved a legendary status as a venture capitalist and corporate visionary, which he brings to his role as a Caltech Trustee. As the Caltech/MIT Enterprise Forum kicks off its 2006-2007 Season, Bill Davidow is going to give us his view of what it takes to succeed as a technology entrepreneur in 2006. How do current venture capitalists look at today's technology ventures? How does he think they should? How do you distinguish between basic research and building a company to develop a real product?
