| LA WiFi Town Hall meeting. In recognizing the potential benefits of advanced wireless networks for Los Angeles, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Council Member Tony Cardenas introduced the LA WiFi Initiative with a goal of connecting Los Angeles residents, businesses and visitors to the global community. The City is currently conducting a feasibility study to explore the needs, interests and viability of developing a wireless network throughout the City. As part of the study, City staff would like to meet and hear from the residents in order to gauge levels of community interest from Los Angeles residents and businesses.
