P2P Networks: From Piracy 2 Promotions
Date: April 08, 2008
Location:Los Angeles
"P2P Networks: From Piracy 2 Promotions" USC. Speak & Spark. Featured Speaker will be Dr. II-Horn Hann. The prolific growth in P2P networks demonstrates the power of the Internet as a new distribution medium for digital content. However, P2P Networks present significant threats to digital content producers. But do these illegal downloads also present new opportunities for product marketing and intelligence? USC Information and Operations Professor Il-Horn Hann will discuss some of his recent research findings in this area and will assess the viability of exploiting P2P networks as a promotional tool.
