California Technology Ventures Closes $100M Fund

Pasadena-based California Technology Ventures has closed a new, $100M venture capital investment fund, California Technology Ventures II, LLC, the fund said today. The fund will focus on early stage companies in the fields of information technology and life sciences. The fund has promoted Dorothy Pavloff to Managing Director, and Dr. Michael Nobel has joined as Venture Director. Nobel is also head of the Nobel Family Society, of the Nobel Prize. The firm also disclosed three investments by the fund, Kiyon, InSound Medical and SurgiQuest.
