Los Angeles-based Causecast, the online, cause marketing firm headed by Ryan Scott, has scored a win with Virgin Mobile Canada and Virgin Unite, the firm said Thursday. The firm said that the two are using its technology to track and reward volunteers, as part of Virgin's RE*Generation program. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. Causecast's technology will be used to track volunteers who donate time to at-risk and homeless youth organizations, who can then earn rewards like concert and event tickets. RE*Generation is a effort being run by Virgin in Canada. Causecast is offering up its technology to brands, to help them engage consumers while also helping out nonprofits.
