    Certance Ships New LTO Drives


    Costa Mesa-based Certance (www.certance.com) announced it has introduced a new set of LTO Ultrium tape drives. The Certaince CL 800 LTO Ultrium 3 series is targeted at enterprise and large businesses, and the CL 400H LTO Ultrium 2 Half Height series is targeted at the small and home office segment of the market. The CL 800 supports backup speeds of up to 490 Gbytes per hour, and the CL 400H with speeds of up to 144 Gbytes per hour. Both of the tape backup products will be available in the fall, according to the company.
