Santa Monica-based CHNL, a startup which is developing a social content browser for smartphones, tablets, and PCs, said today at CES that it has launched a new daily deals feature into its product. The company said it has added daily deal tracking from both Groupon and LivingSocial into its service, letting users browse and see deals into their social feeds from CHNL. CHNL's software lets users create their own "channels", incorporating content from Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and elsewhere, and share that out to their friends. CHNL is headed by John Wander. The company says its goal is to become the "Yahoo!, MSN, or Google for the social media age."
