CinemaNow Upgrades Video Download Software
Marina Del Rey-based CinemaNow, a provider of Internet-based, video on demand download services, said today that it has upgraded the firm's "Media Manager", the software used to manage downloading and playback of its video content. CinemaNow said that it has added ability for Xbox 360 users to download video, and DVD burning support for Microsoft's new Windows Vista operating system. The video on demand service now allows Xbox 360 users to select and download videos on their PCs, with playback through the Xbox 360. CinemaNow is backed by Echostar, Index Holdings, Menlo Ventures, Transcosmos, Microsoft, Lionsgate, Cisco Systems and Blockbuster.
