    CinemaNow Upgrades Video Download Store

Marina Del Rey-based online video on demand firm CinemaNow has launched an upgraded video download store. The company said that it has launched a new version of its video on demand service, adding additional support for new video download formats, better searching of its content, a recommendation engine, and better customer service options. CinemaNow offers time limited broadband content from major studios, including 20th Century Fox, Disney, MGM, Sony, Warner Bros. and others, and has also inked agreements with television studios and other video publishers. The company's service allows customers to download movies via broadband for offline viewing on a PC or portable viewer. The company is venture backed by Menlo Ventures, Lions Gate Entertainment, Microsoft, Cisco, and Blockbuster.
