    ClariPhy Communications Raises $8M Series A Funding


    Irvine-based ClariPhy Communications has raised an initial round of funding for its high speed communications ICs. ClariPhy raised $8M from Norwest Venture Partners (NVP), Onset Capital, and Allegis Capital. ClariPhy is targeting 10-Gbit/s optical networks with its silicon. Jonathan Funk of Allegis Capital and Robert Abbott of Norwest Venture Partners have joined the company's board.
