Newport Beach-based private equity investor Clearlight Partners has raised $300M in a new fund, Clearlight Partners III, according to a regulatory filing from the firm this week. The firm invests in mid-market, profitable companies. Clearlight previously had $600M in capital under management, not including the newest fund. Clearlight has previously invested in such companies as FutureLogic, a Glendale developer of thermal printers, and Switchcraft Holdings, a electronic connector and cable assembly company, but technology companies have not been a focus for the company's most recent investments.
