    Clearstone Raises $200M VC Fund


    Santa Monica-based Clearstone Venture Partners announced this morning that it has raised a new, $200M venture capital fund focused on the Internet, information management, wireless communications, enhanced business collaboration, and management of enterprise operations. The venture fund is Clearstone's third, and includes investments from universities, pension funds, and institutional investors, and including CalPERS. The new fund brings the total raised by the firm to over $650M. Clearstone has invested in PayPal, Overture, United Online, PeopleSupport, and CarsDirect. The company also said that it has invested in DiVitas Networks, Integrien, and SupplyFX as part of the close of the fund.
