Santa Monica-based CODA Automotive, a startup manufacturer of electric cars, announced today that it has hired on a GM vet, Michael A. Jackson, as its Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Distribution. According to CODA, Jackson was most recently at Sarkissian Mason, and also served as CEO of SPEEDSHAPE. He was previously VP of Marketing and Advertising at GM North America, in addition to serving in a number of other sales and marketing positions throughout GM. CODA said that Jackson will be responsible for building the firm's sales model for its late 2010 introduction of its automobiles.
