Santa Monica-based CODA Holdings, the developer of electric vehicles and Lithium-ion power battery systems, said Friday afternoon that it has named Philip Murtaugh as its new Chief Executive Officer. Murtaugh was previously Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of GM China, in addition to serving at Shangai Automotive Industry Corporation, at Chrysler, and as a director of Lear Corporation. Current CEO Steven "Mac" Heller becomes Executive Chairman of the company, with founder and co-chairman Miles Rubin stepping down to serve as Director.
