Poway-based Cohu, a supplier of test equipment for the semiconductor industry, microwave communications and closed circuit television equipment, said today that its subsidiary, Broadcast Microwave Services Inc. (BMS), has acquired Tandberg Television AVS GmbH for $8.3M in cash. Tandberg Television AVS develops, designs, manufactures, and sells digital transmitters, receivers and microwave communications systems. According to Cohu, AVS had sales of approximately $7M in 2006.
