ComicBlitz Acquired By Cinedigm

Los Angeles-based ComicBlitz, an online, subscription comic book service which lets users access unlimited digital comic books for $7.99 a month, has been acquired by Los Angeles-based Cinedigm. Financial details of the buy were not announced. According to Cinedigm, ComicBlitz currently provides access to approximately 10,000 digital comic books, from more than 30 publishers. Cinedigm said it will distribute content from ComicBlitz as a licensed offering for mobile carriers, OTT providers, and other media companies, and also integrate the new proerty with its current fandom lifestyle network, CONtv. ComicBlitz said it expects the dealto generate more than $5M in incremental annual digital revenues in the next 18-24 months after closing. ComicBlitz foudner and CEO Jordan Plosky will join Cinedigm as part of the acquisition. ComicBlitz was launched in 2015.
