Newport Beach-based Conexant and Interpeak said yesterday that the two companies are working together to create an 802.11 wireless solution for embedded developers. The solution combines hardware from Conexant with Interpeak's TCP/IP networking protocol suite for manufacturers of cell phones, printers, and digital cameras to incorporate wireless functionality. Conexant provides 802.11g and 802.11a/g chipsets; Interpeak provides IPv4/IPv6 TCP/IP protocol software stacks.
