Newport Beach-based Conexant, a manufacturer of communications semiconductors, revealed this morning that the firm has surpassed 300 million DSL port shipments. The firm said that the shipment totals are cumulative, starting from its first DSL chipset in 1989; the company claims it was the first to develop a DSL chipset. Conexant is a developer of a number of semiconductors for the imaging, video, audio, and networking market.
