    Conexant Adds ADSL2plus Silicon

Newport Beach-based Conexant said today that it has rolled out a new ADSL2plus chipset. The company's new chip adds integrated voice over internet support and connectivity to UBS 2.0, along with upgradeability to VDSL/VDSL2. The company said that its CX94515 chip delivers up to twice the throughput of existing solutions. The new component is targeted at manufacturers of DSL bridge/routers, wireless DSL routers, and DSL VoIP integrated access devices (IADs). Manufacturers use the part for development of their own DSL bridging/routing devices.
