Conexant Names New President and CEO
Newport Beach-based Conexant Systems said today that it has appointed Daniel Artusi as the firm's president and CEO, replacing former CEO Dwight Decker. Conexant said that the appointment of Artusi comes as a result of the retirement of Decker, who announced his plans to retire in March. Artusi was most recently Chairman and CEO of ColdWatt, and also served at Silicon Laboratories and Motorola. The retirement is the second for Decker, who retired in February of 2004 but returned shortly in November of the same year. Artusi will also become a member of Conexant's board; Decker remains chairman of the firm.
