    Conexant Shows VDSL Chips

Newport Beach-based Conexant Systems announced a new family of high speed digital subscriber line chips targeted at broadband communications. The company's Accelity, very high speed digital subscriber line (VDSL and VDSL2) semiconductors are targeted at broadband, remote terminal, and fiber extension applications. The company said that the new chips provide higher downstream and upstream data rates than the existing ADSL and ADSL2plus standards. The company said that the chips include software and reference designs for a range of asymmetric and symmetric DSL applications.
