Confident Technologies Gets $3.9M

San Diego-based Confident Technologies, the developer of CAPTCHA security software headed by Curtis Staker, the former President of WebSense, has raised $3.9M in a funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the firm today. The filing indicates the funding is part of a $4.9M funding round in progress. Confident Technologies develops image-based authentication and verification solutions, which are an alternative to traditional, text-based CAPTCHA systems; the firm uses images to validate entries for websites, web applications, and mobile devices.
