    ContentNext Gets Venture Funding

ContentNext, the Santa Monica-based company behind paidContent.org, MocoNews.net, and ContentSutra, has received a venture round of funding, the company announced this morning. Funding came from Greycroft Partners, a new venture capital firm run by Alan Patricof. The amount of funding was not disclosed. The company started out as a blog run by Rafat Ali, covering digital media and content. Ali announced the funding in his blog this morning, saying that the company has hired a new COO, Jeff Stern, who was the publisher of Details magazine. The company will also be redesigning all of its web sites, hiring operations and sales staff, and developing industry mixers, conferences, and research.
