    Covario Upgrades SEO Software

San Diego-based Covario has upgraded the firm's search engine automation software, saying today that the firm has added support for universal search to its software, along with new traffic and conversion analysis tools. Universal search is the technique of including not just text results, but top results from video, images, and other kinds of search results within queries on Yahoo, Google, and other search engines. Covario's Organic Search Insight product automates SEO best practices for companies. Covario was formerly known as SEMdirector, and is venture backed by Dubilier & Co., FTVentures, and Voyager Capital. The firm counts Intel, Procter & Gamble, Hewlett-Packard, and others as customers.
