Cylance Raises $100M In Series D

Irvine-based cybersecurity software developer Cylance has raised $100M in a Series D funding, the company said this morning, in a round led by Blackstone Tactical Opportunities and Insight Venture Partners. The company, which develops artificial intelligence software which helps identify and stop malware and other threats, said the new funds will go towards sales, marketing, and engineering. Cylance, which is led by Stuart McClure, said the funding also included its other prior investors. Four year old Cylance has now raised more than $177M in total. The company's other investors include In-Q-Tel, Capital One, Dell Ventures, DFJ Growth Fund, FairHaven Capital Partners, Khosla Ventures, KKR, and TenEleven Ventures. More information »
